Joel joined the Gebau team in July 2007.  He manages multiple simultaneous projects, performing structural design of new and existing residential and commercial structures. Joel's fascination with the built world and his upbringing in a construction environment contribute to his understanding of the building process, buildability issues in general, and committment to lifelong learing.  Joel's technical strengths include engineering mechanics fundamentals as well as computer-aided analysis and design using a strong working knowledge of RISA, RAM, and SAP 2000 along with general analytical tools such as Excel, MATHCAD and AutoCAD. 

Joel's communicative style and attentiveness to client needs are a staple of our client development priorities at Gebau, Inc.  Through his education and experience at Gebau, Joel has become practiced in the design of timber, steel, cast-in-place and post-tensioned concrete, conventional and deep foundation systems, and hybrid structures.
