STRUCTURAL ENGINEER

   

We currently seek an intermediate or senior experience level Structural Engineer to join our professional team.


The ideal candidate will have:

·       5 – 15 years experience in the structural engineering field with emphasis on Buildings.

·       Degree in Structural Engineering from an ABET-accredited university

·       Professional Engineering Licensure

·       Passion for Buildings and the building construction process

·       Strong working knowledge of:

o   Structural engineering analysis and design methods

o   Wood, steel, reinforced concrete, and masonry design

o   Conventional wood frame construction standards and assemblies

o   Commercial framing standards

o   AutoCAD and Structural Drafting Graphic Standards

o   ASCE7, ACI318, AISC, IBC, IRC, MSJC

o   Historic building systems

o   RISA3D finite element modeling

o   Structural detailing in various materials

o   Structural steel shop drawings

·       Strong sense of team, work ethic, and ability to work with others

·       Collaborative approach; Ability to check own work, and conduct peer review of others’ work

·       Strong communication skills

·       Strong technical writing skills

·       Foundation design experience – conventional cast in place, deep foundations, post tensioned mat foundations

Typical, basic responsibilities includestructural analysis and design of wood, steel, concrete, and masonry building structures, and design of conventional and deep foundation systems using traditional and computer methods.   Perform member and connection design, redline plan and detail information and execute AutoCAD and Revit drafting of structural framing and foundation plans and structural details.  Interact directly with clients for design and construction administration phases, and perform field observations and reporting services.

Structural CAD Draftsperson

Now seeking a highly motivated AutoCAD and REVIT-savvy draftsperson with 2-5 years experience in drafting structural construction documents (commercial and residential) to join our team.

Ideal candidate has an associate’s degree in CAD drafting, exceptional communication skills, is familiar with typical residential and commercial building construction types and assemblies, is a self-starter, and enjoys working closely with others to create the high quality construction documents our clients value. 

Typical responsibilities include transcription of structural redline framing and foundation plans and section details using AutoCAD or REVIT involving drawing setup, predefined block insertion and manipulation, and publication of construction drawing sets.  Project types range from custom residential new construction to commercial tenant finishes and miscellaneous structures including bridges and public art installations

Engineering Intern

With our University Hill location, we have found much success in cultivating engineering students University of Colorado into our employment program over the years.  Over the past few years, we diverged from this program, but now we are ready to get back on track and find some new, ambititious structurally-trained engineers to integrate into our workforce!  If you feel you may be a good fit for an internship, please send us a letter of interest and your qualifications.

Structural Design (Project) Engineer

We are seeking a qualified, ambitious entry-level engineer to perform structural analysis & design for residential and commercial building projects in Colorado’s Front Range and beyond for building owners, architects, contractors and institutional clients.  Our projects range from multi-story, multi-family new residential construction, tenant finishes and new commercial construction, to residential additions.

Ideal candidate will have at minimum a bachelor’s degree in civil/structural engineering discipline from an ABET accredited university and 1-3 years experience in the industry interpreting construction documents and performing structural engineering tasks.  Candidate will work under direct supervision of firm principals and alongside fellow engineering and drafting personnel.  We emphasize and offer incentives for personal accountability, responsibility, and overall productivity.

Typical responsibilities include structural analysis and design of wood, steel, concrete, and masonry building structures, and design of conventional and deep foundation systems using traditional and computer methods.  Perform member and connection design, redline plan and detail information and execute AutoCAD and REVIT drafting of structural framing and foundation plans and structural details.  Interact directly with clients for design and construction administration phases, and perform field observations and reporting services once candidate reaches appropriate proficiency levels.
