The structure of the Old Chicago combines steel and wood.  Steel was used to create the walls and the major perimeter beams.  Large wood trusses were used to create the roofing system.  The Broomfield Old Chicago was finished in late 2000.  The project cost 620,000 to construct and the construction took 8 months.  The restaurant is 13,000 square feet, and has the capacity to seat 384 customers.
