Gebau Inc. has remained a small organization with slow steady growth since its inception.  This partly reflects the philosophies and intent of its management, as well as its sense of, and commitment to, the building economy in which we all operate.  Noteworthy is the fact that while the economy has fluctuated through both highs and lows during the past twenty year economic cycle, Gebau, Inc. has consistently participated in a 5%-23% growth rate throughout its revenue history.

    Gebau, Inc. views all its client and employee relationships as potentially long term.  We are continually exploring and pursuing optimization of these relationships through improved communications and appropriate matching of task and skill levels.  We exercise a fairly conservative disposition when allocating individual experience levels with responsibility and/or client participation levels.  We tend to instill in these relationships a sense of resource and project revenue allocations that promote management of critical pathing, project cost and resource allocations.  We strive to cultivate and maintain a realistic sense of project objectives and efficiencies.  We have found these aspects to develop the longest term and most rewarding relationships with both clients and employees, which we feel have been reflected in histories of both. 

    Our primary philosophy for client and personnel relationships has been to pursue the best effort regardless of the risks that any one relationship may be short term or not work out due to individual needs or preferences.  We have found more success in tuning ourselves to the changing environment in which we work and staff, rather than predisposing these variables into our service program. 

    To achieve this we have aspired to train and develop our engineering staff as comprehensive project managers, in effect principal equals, to work and perform in a more network like environment than the traditional pyramidal relationship.  We would aspire, as our history reflects, to all engineering personnel participating at the principal level.  This is not to say that everyone is going to find, achieve, or develop compatibility with this standard or objective.  Only time and participation will divulge this.

     We continuously seek to be the best that we can be, and to produce the highest quality comprehensive product.  We believe that this requires a collaborative state of mind.  We desire to combine our strengths, take the best parts of our experience and skills and keep refining and improving the standards to which we conform.  This we believe produces authentic and sustainable growth.  We have found our markets and clients will always support a greater demand for this dynamic collaboration.  We believe this perspective dissolves the separation of individual egos and allows for constructive consideration and realistic assessments required to achieve our project and company goals.

    The individual that will most likely benefit to the fullest extent in this environment is one that has had 3 to 5 years of experience with varied firm sizes and structures, is looking for an environment where participation is more hands-on and direct, and enjoys working hard and participating directly in the rewards of that hard work.  This individual would enjoy working directly with clients and diverse situations requiring innovative, realistic, and sensible solutions.  We have found this requires a substantial knowledge and skill in the varied structural materials, building systems, and details of the residential and commercial building sectors, including steel, concrete, masonry, and timber construction.
